Paint fading from sun or clear coat issue?
I've noticed a bit of a white haze over parts of the finish that have probably been most exposed to the sun. I'm attaching a link to a slideshow that I put together as I'm trying to sell the car, but look at the sixth picture and see what you think. I waxed with a good quality wax to no avail. I tried a colored wax but just temporarily masked the problem and now it seems to be amplified even worse.
Would a paint cleaner with a light abrasive help in this situation?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Looks to me like the paint is gone in those areas. By no means am i expert but usually when the clearcoat is going you get a flat colored area (in your case, like a flat red) because theres no clearcoat there anymore. Oxidization will seperate the non-clearcoat area from the paint tha tstill has some clearcoat.
Your car it looks like the oxidization or whatever that is is right down to the primer... Again, i could be wrong...and i guess it wouldnt hurt to try to use a porter cable orbital buffer and some oxidization remover but it looks to me like the paints gone there...

Time to paint. You got a nice bird and looks like all it needs is paint.

That headliner also should be fixed if you plan on selling it. My 87 looked just like that and it wasn't all that hard to redo it......I think the fabric was about $20 or so, and I used 3 or 4 cans of spray adheasive......that is a really sharp car otherwise.........
