Looks good man. I might be interested in something like that eventually. Though I live kinda far away. I'll let you know if I want it done.

Really? That's not bad at all. I might wanna do it after I get my paint work done on the body, might be a while. But like you said I can find you. What other stuff might you be able to do? Because it would be cool to have some matching stuff.

Re: powder coated my runners what do you think?
They look great not much on purple, still they look sweet.
GTAfanatic,
I am about to powder coat my whole TPI intake system. Going bead blast silver to look somewhat close to stock. How did you mask the runners, did you have to outgass them? Also how did you prep them before coating? Did you clear coat them as well.
Oh, and $50 shipped is a good price. With the work and cost of powder and shipping.

Re: powder coated my runners what do you think?
i do all the work my self as for the runners all i had to do is tape off the holes so no powder got in them.
i preped the parts by sanding them but i had to remove the paint that was on them first. (Paint striper)
i would not be making that much $$$ for doing them at 50 i would probably raise the price a bit after the first few i got out there. the powder cost anywhere from 30-60 alone but i have some colors in stock i am trying to run down.
pic is of a candy red i have

Re: powder coated my runners what do you think?
Very nice job. I have had my intake, TBI unit, injector pod, serpentine brackets, coil bracket, etc all powder coated.
I love the look. I went with gloss black, but I am going to do another manifold for a friend and will have it done in flat black.
I am going to experiment with different colors on some spare injector pods and other accessories.
Nice to see others who appreciate "dressing" up under the hood. Once you powder coat something it will nearly last a life time!

Re: powder coated my runners what do you think?
Yeah I am new at powder coating. Have everything just have to get my parts ready and go. Time is not what you have when you have a 10 month old at home. I put her first and lovin it.
Yeah the cost of powder your time and shipping at $50 you wont make much. That is like doing the service for free. I am going to start doing parts on the side.
I do like the idea that it will clean up the engine area. I cant stand how the bear aluminum gets even on the mint collector cars that have been stored.

Re: powder coated my runners what do you think?
GTA...
Do you know of anyone who has a parts tumbler to clean parts? I have a number of injector pods and TBI units that need to be cleaned/polished. Most of the local shops use sand blasting with an aggressive media. They wont bead blast it or use walnut husks, etc. Those tend to be the best for cleaning and polishing aluminum.
