I have never seen a grill like that inside a 91-92 nose. is that factory or year/model specific ? that looks kickass
Nope, it's just standard base model Firebird or Formula.

This is my 92 Formy 350 I picked up a few weeks ago from TGO member Bull. It's awesome!! Stock except for the 4th gen. console and the stereo. I can't wait until the spring to drive it
She has had a good washing since then. No more dirt!
The "grill" is stock, thats the way the Formulas came.
As far as the paint on my car, I touched up the paint on the nose with GM factory touchup spray paint and then just washed, polished and waxed the heck out of the car to get it looking like that. Oh, and I ripped out that locked up boat anchor 305 and stuck in a low mileage L98.
Charlie, I like those Formula logos on your car. Nice job.
Technically, 90's are different from 91-92's. But, here's my 91:
Here's some of the progression of it. The top left pic is the day I brought it home.
Now she's white:

....still sporting trailer park 5 color paint for now. 88 RS vert build thread
Long story short; Car started itself and rolled across my street into a ravine and now it's getting the LSx.
Wow... I can't imagine seeing that myself, had it happened to me... My Baby, Stuck in a ditch...for no apparant reason. Well, least it's getting a makeover out of it, hope to hear more. Keep us updated Ian.

It was one of the weirdest moments of my life. Standing there in the early morning hours, sun peeking slow over the horizon. Turn my back to my car and then hear it rumble to life and take off. Shat. It weirds me out to this day.

Jesus hates you... That is freakin weird... And it got out of Gear? That is Nukkin Futz...
holy crap...i cant believe that vette bird deal happend! i would be devistated...wow i really liked that car lol...hopefully it will never will happen to mine.......other than that i still love to see all the new birds being posted...KEEP IT UP.
wow..what a buzzkill seeing that vert. can't wait to see the finished product. i'm sure your motivated to create something even better. good luck.
i have finally got this car running after 5+ years of work. this project started with a dream of a firebird with big tires to a comletely made over pro street car. the wiring has taken me forever (my weak link). several years ago i started ripping out wires (every wire in the car) and it is just about redone. also done is the engine, trans, suspension, steering, cooling system, brake system, driveline, paint, and fuel system. now i have to start reassembling the front bumper and lights on the outside as well as put the complete interior back in it. i also ran front to rear true duals. i love the fact that at 6 " from ground to lower rocker, if you look under the car the exhaust is not visible. the only problem is the mufflers i used for space reasons (bullets) are a little on the loud side (way loud!)
wish me luck...i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Diggin the Weld Rims. Those are nice. Couldn't get better pics?
LOL. Yea I should have isolated the car a little better in the pic, oh well.
Right, the Welds look great, but I don't think I'll ever buy another set of aluminum rims again. At least 2 of them are warped, saw it big time at the last emissons test while the back wheels were on the rollers.

I Love the sound of the Bullets! That is an awesome looking car. Lotsa hard work is evident. Very Nice.
Heres my baby at the moment... I'm in the process of getting her some new parts.
I got a Citation from the City last night... need to get the garage cleaned out...
I'm Shootin for 500+ RWHP, if at all possible, So... It'd better be fun! haha. I'm hopin to have her on the road eating Rice by June of 2010... I'm going to be all over these threads haha. Anyhoo, don't want to be a thread stealer. Bring on some more pics! I could use the inspiration...
After seeing all the nice 91-92's damn I really miss my car right now. I can't wait to get it out of storage and start putting on all the new stuff I picked up for it over the winter

I managed to get a NIB set of AFR 205's milled to 60cc and upgraded dual springs and hand ported by Tony Mamo at AFR. I also scored an NIB FAST90 intake ported again by Tony Mamo at AFR and Wilson 90mm throttle body. Along with that came the FAST fuel rails, FAST 42lb injectors, an 85mm MAF and at this point a cam but not sure what cam yet. I currently have a 228/228 .571/.571 112+2 XE cam but I might just bite the bullet on a G5x3 cam from LG motorsports. Its like a 234/242 .610/.605 on a 112 LSA which may be borderline for daily driving on a stock cubed LS1.
I also picked up some qlogic kick panel speaker enclosures so I can put the last 4 speakers in the car as I had no fronts with the dash being from a 4th gen.
I have an aluminum Fidanza flywheel to replace the stock LS7 steel flywheel but I may just sell it and forget about it as the car shifts and leaves the lights so smooth as it is.
So yeah I am pretty anxious to get this stuff bolted on and car retuned. I am hoping that the 2 10bolt rear ends I have will be enough to tide me over to 2010 when I can afford a 12 bolt and actually launch the car
