Heck yah! The best way to clean glass is with steel wool.Growing up in the body shop my dad used it all the time to remove any overspray that might have found it's way there somehow.
You can buy it at the grocery store, the automotive store should have it too.
Hope this helps yah,
Tony

Not just any steel wool. It has to be 0000.....anything more agressive will damage the glass.
I like ceramabrite (ceramic stove top cleaner) for the stubborn stuff. For regular cleaning Sprayway is my favorite glass cleaner...safe for tint too

Re: glass cleaner
I encountered the same problem when I purchased my T/A... it had sat out in a field for years... I used a Razor Blade and Stoner Glass Cleaner... worked great... just don't use the razor blade on the inside back glass if your car has rear defogger...

Windex? I dunno, maybe it's just me, but Windex has always done wonders for my windows. If you have tint, try a spray bottle, fill it up with water and then put a little bit of vinegar in it. I've always used vinegar/water mix to clean the inside of my windows where the tint is and have never had any problems and cleans the hell out of them.
