Hi, I am planing to by another camaro 1982-1992 and wanted to paint it in black primer. but i cant find to many pictures of how it will look like so im not sure weather just to do it or just paint it in regular black. because i wanted the whole car to be black. im going to put on those rear window vents, black car bra, paint iroc rims black, stuff like that. so if you can post your black camaro pictures here, that would be great!
It wouldn't be a good idea to leave it in primer. If you want the flat black look then I suggest flat or satin black paint.
Do a search, 90% of thirdgen Camaros are black these days. I'm sure you'll find a pic of one on just about any thread that you open on this site.

I really like the look of your car.......what kind of clear did you use? was it a reg finish or a flat finish over the "hot rod black"

lol, the two people I showed the picture to said it looks like the car from hell, like from that movie where the car runs over people. And that's why I like the look of flat black.
that is stinkin' beautiful! That is the hood I would like to get after I dump the 305.
Thanks, the hood makes the car. I'm going to get apic with the black projectors on here tomorrow.

Thanks, they look real good , but it sucks when they go out. Oh the paint on my car was only 50 dollars for the paint, hardner, and reducer. I just painted it like this cuz i had primer spots everywhere from getting the body super straight, i'm going to change it up this summer. Goodluck with yours.

Yes do it. But use flat black paint instead of primer. Flat black third gens are the best. Here are some pics I found online. I am eventually going to paint one of my third gens flat black.

My '72 Z28 has been in Satin Black for 15 years, and there's not even a hint of rust anywhere on the car!!! In fact I still have a gallon of this paint left, so I think I'm going to shoot my 91 with it this summer. Anything's got to be better than this ugly purple the previous owner put on the car.
