That looks pretty damn good! I have never tried a manifold... just seemed like to much of a PITA 
I was daily driving mine when I pulled it apart and powdered it gloss black... seemed like a better move. Still have to clean it all the time.[/quote]
PITA doesn't begin to describe it! The hardest parts are removing the casting logo's on the bottom of the plenum, The base intake is rough in itself I removed all it's logo's even the firing order. very tight areas to cleanup. No wonder all these polishing services powdercoat the base and only polish the runners and top and side of the plenum.

the "polishing your wheels" sticky on this board has a fairly universal method for polishing aluminum. In that sticky, go to the "buffing vs. polishing" link, it has a lot of the info you need to polish aluminum to a mirror finish. In the buffing vs. polishing link, the "buffing info chart" lets you know what compounds to use with what buffing wheels. Start your trial and error with that method, it'll give you the best results when you get your method down.

I found a polisher that will do a flat rate exchange with me on my 5.7 TPI intake, fuel rail, manifold and water neck. I buy his setup for $600, put it on my engine, return mine and get $100 back. So, $500 for a fully polished top end. I did my 3.1 V6 plenum and manifold myself, BY HAND and it probably took me 6 months of weekends and an hour here and there at night during the week, so I think it is worth coughing up the cash to get it done properly. AND, I think the fuel rail and runners come clear powdercoated too!!
