Wheel Clay Bars
I have a set of american racing torq thrust II's that are polished aluminium. They are a bit of a pain to keep clean due to brake dust. Has any one ever used clay bar for wheels? And is wheel clay bar any different from normal clay bar?

I have. Are your rims clear coated or polished aluminum? I restore rims occasionally aswell. The bars are basically the same. The ones we use at work are for buffing cabinets and I even use those for aluminum, paint, etc. works wonders. We actually run the buffer onto the clay so it's in the buffing wheel then polish the surface that were buffing with it. Results are great.

Wheel clay should be the same for paint. Clay comes in different grades, fine being what you'll find at an auto parts store. If those don't work, you can snag some medium online.
An iron-dissolving cleaner will work well on brake dust too. There's a product called Sonax Full Effect, you can watch videos of it on YouTube and its crazy what it can take off without scrubbing. But don't buy that, you can buy meguires DUB wheel cleaner at advance or auto zone for $8 and it does the exact same thing.
If you hate using clay like me, buy an Autoscrub foam pad. It does the same thing as clay but you don't need to endlessly knead it, just rinse.

I bought a car with custom aluminum wheels. They're cleared in spots and brushed in others. On two of them there's small white blemishes on the clear coat part. I tried compounding and polishing the blemishes but it didn't work. What could it be from? It's only on a couple spots on the clear coat.
