??sport coupe,berlinetta grills??
Looking to replace the grill on my 87 camaro sport coupe. Mine dryrotted and broke. Never liked the stock plastic one. Any ideas or pics of what guys have done to change the appearance. Whats available out there for sport coupe, berlinetta grills out there(billet,custom,etc...).
Also need need front turn, parking light lenses(the amber ones for 85-87 only). Cant find replacements. Is there any aftermarket ones available.
Don't want to get faded ones from salvage yard. What options do I have. thanks

You do not have many options. I don't know of any billet grille's, though I would probably not be interested in them anyway.
There were two grille options from the factory, the standard grille and the fog grille. As of 2 or 3 years ago, the standard grille was still available NOS at Chevy dealers. As far as the factory fog, good luck finding one of those. I sold mine a few years back, after I sold the car. I attached a pic to show what it looked like. The lights used special brackets, which were different than the brackets found on IROC's.
There were also two different style parking lights. Z28/IROC/RS lights will NOT fit the Sport Coupe bumper cover. Most cars had amber lights. The 85-86 Berlinetta's has clear parking lights, with a black trim piece going across the face. Both the amber and clear Berlinetta's are interchangeable. These pop up every so often in the classified's. I sold my set for $60-70 IIRC.

You could always make your own. I've seen people make there own grills/inserts from sheets of aluminum.

Yeah not many options at all, I have a nice set of amber 85-87 lights since I put berli lights in, but not sure I want to let go of them yet

Had a billet grill for a 03' silverado laying around. Was broke from a deer but seems to fit the contour of the camaro. Will have to trim it up to make it fit and figure out brackets.

I don't mean to derail your thread but I do have a set of amber turn signals I would sell. Make sure you post pics if you get the grill to work.

Roughly the right size. Want a mock up to see if I like it first.

IDK? What do you think. I'm starting to like the plastic one now.
