December COTM **Nomination Thread** - (I'm a hoarder)
This COTM nomination thread is for the people that can't have just one. We want to see your collection of 3rd gens. Doesn't matter if you've won COTM before with one of your cars because this time it's the collection that will be voted on.
This is a self-nomination thread, but I'd like to see somebody else second the nomination.
We are looking for high quality cars of exceptional fit and finish. If your collection is a mix of high quality and unfinished project cars, then get creative, okay? Like make sure we got a group photo where the nice one is prominent or something like that.
Usually I prepare ahead of time for these type of things by putting bait threads on the site, but I just thought of this idea right now so let's cross our fingers and hope it works out.

Ok, I guess I didn't read the rules very well. So, the IROC-Z is the show car and the '82 is the project car. There! Now I qualify for this month.

Re: December COTM **Nomination Thread** - (I'm a hoarder)
Hmm. Again stiff competition but at least I feel I qualify.
You'll just have to take my word on the 86 Coupe being a calendar car when it first hit the road. (I do have pics to show it's worthiness if requested).
That picture is circa spring 2012. The Coupe is in the foreground.
Behind that is the 86 IROC that started it all. Well, not really as there was an 84 Z28 that preceded it but I burned it to the ground in a grinding accident.
Bringing up the rear is the 86 TA with a 502 BBC, TKO 500 and Moser 12 bolt. A project never finished and still languishing in my nephew's garage. Something I'd personally like to resurrect.
As the old high school yearbooks used to say, missing are pictures of the 87 Coupe (my daughters V6 daily driver) and an 87 RS that served well as a parts car.
Sadly the 86 Coupe has seen better days now sporting a busted windshield, a cracked dash pad (both courtesy of the severe northern Canadian winters having moved here 2 years after that photo was taken) and a somewhat smashed in drivers door thanks to a runaway minivan while the car was parked.
That's all I got and best of luck to all.

Ok, I'll try to participate. I don't have good pics where you can see all three of them, just snapshots. Here you can see my 92 5.0 TPI TA, my 88 5.7 TPI GTA and my 85 2.5 TBI Iron Duke. The 92 and the 88 are low-mile show cars with high valuation in nearly perfect and original condition (92: 53.xxx mls, 88: 21.xxx mls), the 85 iron duke is a bit of a project. I bought it a few weeks ago and it needs TLC to be a nice car again. Over here in germany it is VERY difficult to find good parts and good cars and the iron duke is something like "one of a kind". I only know of three other dukes in my whole country. Greetings from over the great pond!

I wanna second Chazman and dagwood’s cars since I love theirs, but I’m gonna have to second J.C. Denton for the German collection, especially that gorgeous 92.

Nice to see some of these other third gen collections. Mine currently stands at 7 third gens, with a lot more over the years. My third gens are all Firebird/Trans Ams currently. Unfortunately, I'd say all of mine are not in COTM condition, just basic driver condition. Not to mention I really don't have too many pictures of them on my PC. Feel free to check out some pics of my cars on Instagram though @nhra_trans_am

Hey guys I'm gonna back out of this. I had a guy in SoCal make me an offer for my IROC, and I told him today that I'd let it go for his offer. Also, I am going to be making some changes to my RS....so I will step back from the competition.

Re: December COTM **Nomination Thread** - (I'm a hoarder)
OK so I probably fit the definition of a hoarder. I have loved third gens ever since I was a teenager and worked many summers while in high school and other jobs while in college in the 80's to finally be able to buy a new '88 sport coupe in the spring of 1988 when i was 20. Since then I have bought a couple more, built a third gen garage for my collection, and done many projects
I have 9 third gens presently in my collection and my son has one I bought for him as his 16th birthday present. I attached some links to some of my bigger projects and a couple pics of my garage showing all of my third gens together (my son's Formula is not present in these pics). I also have a huge collection of third gen parts as you can imagine!
1982 Camaro Pace Car Silver/Blue T Top - 4 Speed, 38K miles
1985 Camaro IROC Black T Top - LS of many variations Swap Project

1988 Camaro Sport Coupe Dark Red Metallic - My first Camaro bought new in 1988, traded in 1990 for my '91 Z28, after intensive search reunited and rebuilt!

1988 Camaro Sport Coupe Dark Red Metallic - A twin to my original first Camaro (also only 30 vin numbers apart) that I found and bought when I wasn't sure I would ever find my original first one. RAMJET 350 Swap Project

1988 Pontiac Trans AM Red T Top - Original 305 / 5 Speed still only ~30K miles
1989 Camaro IROC Z Convertible White - Original 305 / 5 Speed
1989 Camaro IROC Z Convertible Blue - 5 Speed Conversion
1991 Camaro Z28 Convertible Dark Red Metallic - Bought brand new in 1990. Ordered to my specifications including original 5 Speed. Installed Paxton Supercharger in my parents driveway in 1991. Still has less than 8K miles but I drive it to work and Church a couple times a year (original rims have original tires still on them so I do not use them for driving anymore, HAWKS where are those 17" 91-92s!)

1982 MSE Trans Am #34 (new purchase)
1983 MSE Trans Am #123 (1 of 669 L69 cars, And 1 of roughly 250 MSE Cars)
1986 MSE Trans Am #12 (1 of Roughly 25 MSE Cars)
1985 Iroc (sliver, Very Loaded car, 40k miles, Rear wiper, Lier interior. Adding A Nos Console clock, and Pop up CnC Top Roof upon repaint)
1985 Trans Am (Resto Project, Early TPI Car with the Meaner L69 Cam, Wraparound, WS6, 3.27, TTop, UT4, Adding UQ7)
1986 Trans Am (Full aftermarket suspension....Almost)
Been collecting for about 10 years. All the cars need things here/there. The maroon 85 is a tribute to my first third-gen. The Red 86 is my main third-gen, and I caught a bug for the MSE cars. Hopefully will find an 84, and an 85 to complete the collection. The Iroc is a 40k mile car, the paint really failed due to it being a Nevada car. Far from done collecting. I do not have a group photo of them all due to my job keeping me away from home. The cars are all at different stages from what these pictures show. Some getting ready for paint, others collecting parts. Right now I have been focused on other projects away from my third gens.

t/aws6, Are you saying you're in or out? We've got to have at least one car in the bunch that meets COTM standards.
And I'm definitely wanting a group photo.

What do you think?
If somebody is willing to make a better collage then go for it! Maybe wrap bigger pictures around the top and right, or something like that. Team effort!

Awesome picture of the yellow car. Love how you missed most of the vehicle.
