Headlight Bezel in 92 maro
hello. this is my first time here in a long time. a little background for anyone reading:
im not a great mechanic and havent had alot of experience with cars but i do have knowledge
my question is, my headlight bezel thingy (where headlights mount) cracked on both sides and when i drive at night with the lights on, the lights bounce and flicker all over the road. i went to a junk yard today and bought a new piece. my concern is that you have to take the whole nose cone off. i have never taken a car apart (as far as body pieces). im going to attempt to do this project over the weekend. how hard is it to take the nose off? how hard is it to put it back on (assuming i was working alone)?. if anyone can give me any tips, id appreciate it! thank you

Well, if you're not a drinking man, you willbe when you're done with this job. Nah, seriously, it;s not all that bad, just a little time consuming. There are about a million bolts that tie into the bezel and a few of them are not easy to get too. You wno;t have to take the nose off (at least not on my 89), but it will be a little loose once you take all the bolts out.
Basically, take a reall good look at the bezel and pinpoint all the bolts and screws that go into the bezel. Start in the middle by taking out the snorkle (if you have TPI) and go from there. Start removing bolts in the middle and move to the outside. i would suggest making too piles of bolts....one for the left side bolts and one for the right side bolts. It;s a tedious job, but it;s basically soldier proof.

ok, thanks alot guys. im going to try to do it this weekend (if the hurricane isnt too bad, Ny guy). thanx for the quick replies. im going to have a busy weekend. i plan to put my z28 grill in, a new stewart waterpump, poly trans. mount and the bezel. wish me luck! thank you all again.
