tranny crossmember nut cross threaded =\
well, my tranny mount broke the other day, no biggie so I am changing it, and, one of the bolts seems to have a lot of resistance. Anyways, I took it out, put in the new mount and that one bolt just wouldn't tighten up. I hate these so called grease monkeys working at shops SO the big question Is there anyway to possibly get access to this evil gm nutplate and replace it?

I striped mine out, put a bigger bolt in it. Stiped it out again, put an even bigger bolt in it....finally I got pissed and put a heli-coil in...now its like new! Thats probly the best you can do unless you want to chop the frame up

Two of crossmember bolts broke when I was working on it. I drilled it out and retapped a bigger hole and its been fine ever since.
