Are you making it for a coupe or t-top car? My t-top headliner looks like...well, you know. I have been toying with the idea of glassing it for it's shape then recovering it. Let's see the pics either way.

For all the expense and time trying to glass a T top headliner you could buy an ABS one...covered.

maybe some people wanna DO THEIR OWN WORK.
this guy asked a simple question, nowhere in it did he ask for your opinion on if its worth it.

Take a fookin pill there bud.
I made a simple observation, that's all. Geeze, are we a tad touchy today?
Nowhere did I ask for your 2 cents either, take your own advice.

The factory t-top liner is made of pressed fiberglass, which will loose it's shape when it is soaked with polyester resin (the extra weight of the resin deforms it) and is a major pain and mess to try to hold it where it is supposed to be as the resin cures. Not to mention that after cure it will be MUCH heavier than stock.
It would be much easier to get an ABS liner without covering and use it as a form to hand lay your own headliners from.

I'm interested in what that would look like..I just recovered mine with new foam/cloth for $30 so i probably won't be messing with it again.

Here's a decent article...

http://www.hotrod.com/howto/60478/

Although that's overkill for the headliners. I'm guessing people are just cleaning up the stock piece, and putting 'glass over that.

There are websites about for "how to fiberglass". Just put that in your search and you should be able to figure it out.
