Right on Shannon! Good to see you posting again. Are you gonna keep the piping off or put it back on?

LOL! Maybe you should have painted it red? :-) I'll be doing the same to parts of my interior someday (no, not red...).

Nice job!
Makes alot of difference going from a lighter color to black. I did mine about 4-5 months ago. It was blue to black. Much better.
My 2 favorite colors.
I've seen pic's of your car in other threads, very nice ride.

Yeah I should be back posting more regular now. I've got a boss that says its cool to surf if we are slow.

Well if the dragon pads on my belts were not actually being used I might yank them. But I need those things to keep the belt from rubbing my neck. The way the PMDs are right now the belt hits my neck no matter what I do. Same for the passenger!

Yes, the RED piping will go back. The red piping I have now is a satin cord, not the orangey/red string lights of long ago. Other wise there is not enough red tie in there. It looks too bland.

I plan to do some work yet on the carbon fiber. The sun is doing a number on the resin. Hense the yellow haze some have commented on showing up in pics! If we can't get it looking back grey/black, I might go to a red and black carbon fiber. Just redo the things, or buy an overlay kit. I just have to find one that only has the 2 holes for window switches. The ones I have seen have the holes for the mirror controls as well.

I plan to get some pics of it all installed tomorrow if the weather will cooperate.

Just for the record I'm not a fan of the dragon belt pads either but I respect whatever you do to your car Shannon. And I do agree with putting piping back in because it does help the overall look with a complete red/black interior.

What overlay kit are you talking about?.. I've searched for dash kits for these cars for ages and only come up with is one sold on ebay that supposedly looks like stickers and has no seperation for anything. And another one that appears to be the same thing at 4X the price of the one on ebay. These all seem to have a single piece for the entire console and a hole which accomidates 2 window switches and a hatch release. So I basically went ahead and started making a brushed alum dash kit.. I have the console completely done and installed but its a complete PITA and a very slow process since its all being done by hand, and I'm trying to accomodate all individual switches, inlays, screws etc. I would be amazed to see what a red/black carbon fiber set up would look like in your car. That would look friggin amazing

Oh glad to see your employed again.. guess we've switched positions I wish someone would pay me to surf the web, I spend enough time doing it anyways... must be a nice boss

Oh yea whats up with our weather lately anyways.. i have stuff to finish before next week and my porch doesnt exactly block rain!
