Hole in Firewall

Hey guys, i'm installing a mechanical temperature gauge in my '92 RS. I gotta drill a 7/8" hole somewhere in the fire wall or find another way to route the tube.

I can't decide where the best place to drill this hole is, any suggestions would be great.

thanks,

Kyle

What do you need such a large hole for? How big is the tube?
I would drill the hole on the driver side firewall right above where the inner fender meets the firewall.....most cars have relays mounted above that area so they will hide your new hole.

NO. Just pull down the carpet a little bit.

If youi're refering to the hole in the tranny tunnel picture... that one required a 2 1/8" hole saw and harness grommet from an 80's nissan. Even if you pick such an odd location... as Dirt noted.. just yank the carpet back some.
