Interior Clips !!?!?
Hi Guys, I dissassembled the interior of my 82 to put in a new headliner, and now I'm having a heck of time putting the trim back on...
Most of those white plastic clips broke during removal, so I went to the autoparts store and bought some similar looking HELP brand clips, they said GM on the box.
I still cant seem to get it together though, I inserted all the clips into the slots on the trim, and tried to push the trim enough to drive in the clips, but the cips just wont go into the holes....
What is the procedure to assemble it, should I put the clips on the body first, then try to slide the trim onto the clips...
Could it be the fault of the cheap HELP brand clips?
Thanks!

I had o do the same thing with all the plastics in the rear, I bought some of those cheap things and they worked. some times you just have to force the things in, if not i wold go to the local GM dealer and go to the parts dep. and ask them for them, they arn't that much either
