91-92 TA Aero Spoiler Mounting?

I recently went looking for some mounting hardware to mount my recently acquired 91-92 Aero Spoiler to my 91 Firebird and ran in to a little trouble. I emailed Modern Day Muscle and they emailed back and said that they can get the bolts that go through the hatch lid but that the moldings that go on the side of the hatch glass and have the integrated clips are discontinued parts.

Has anyone else ran into this problem themselves when trying to mount their aero spoiler? Surely I'm not the only one that's come across this problem and I'm betting that with the creativity I've seen on this site someone has possibly come up with a way to mount the spoiler without have the original moldings.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!

11 reviews and no answer yet? I thought for sure that someone besides me would have run in to this problem.

Anyone?? I've called YearOne, Obsolete Chevy, and Paddock as well as emailing a ton of places and can't find a mounting hardware kit. I've emailed RamAirHood.com twice and haven't heard anything back yet. I know they have the mounting kit because it comes with the spoilers that they sell but they won't email me back about selling me just a mounting hardware kit.

I ran that spoiler on my 86 with only the 4 hatch bolts holding it on.
I just put some weather stripping under the parts that wrap around the glass to keep if from rattling on the glass.

It is strong enough that it shouldn't damage it. Had my car up to 150+ with it on it plenty of times.

Awesome, thanks! I'll give that a shot.

BTW, do you happen to have any pictures of how the spoiler mounts .... like location of the holes and such? I'm sure once my spoiler actually gets here, I'll be able to see but until then I'd like to see pictures if you or anyone else has any.

I don't have any pictures but my hatch had the stock pedestal spoiler on it and I just had to make 2 holes since the 91-92 spoiler lined up with 2 already on the hatch.
