Re: SS Hood

I got mine from hawks.Good quality, except for a slight bow around the left side hinge area, which i think is excess material.

Re: SS Hood

i got mine from hawks, HATE IT. i wish i could afford to get one from ascd, but i cant. it doesnt line up well at all with the bumper, and it has ripples down both sides, one side of which is my fault. maybe i just got a friday hood or something

Re: SS Hood

You guys that got it from Hawks complaining about them are not the only ones. I had to have my hood completely done by a proffesional shop because it was so wavy and had imperfections in it. Its a good thing I am a manager in the body shop . We had called them and complained and they said they have never had a complaint on it. The hood was more than a block out and shoot. I am happy with it now..... but with alot of work and time into it just to finally get it right. I would get it from someone else if you dont feel like spending time and money to get it right

Re: SS Hood

Looks like the ascd SS hood is on sale for $435, cheaper than the one on hawks.

Re: SS Hood

Are there any differences between the two hoods?(not talking about price) like are they made out of the same mold?( or how ever hoods are made?)

Re: SS Hood

the one from hawk's isnt a functional ram air hood.

im not sure if the one from ascd is or not but it said SS ram air hood and it was more than hawk's before the price cut so that could be a difference.

either way im going with ascd

thanks for info guys
