Power Window Regulator Rivit Size?

Anyone know the size rivets needed to replace the rivits for the window regulator?

Also what type of tool do I need to put them in?

I am tired of trying to get my fat hands in there to put bolts in.

1/4" peel rivets and use this:

I am painting a door right now and I am thinking about tack welding small nuts on the regulator. That way I can just screw or bolt it in.

Re: Power Window Regulator Rivit Size?

When I replaced my driver side PW motor, I used the little screw & nut that came with the new motor on 2 of the holes. On the third hole, where it seemed impossible to hold the nut in place, I used a sheet metal screw and it has held fine (over 2 years).

I didn't know there was a rivet that size available. I tack-welded the nuts too and it worked perfectly.

Re: Power Window Regulator Rivit Size?

i did mine not 2 weeks ago....i just used a standard 3/16 rivet and i put a washer on both sides of the rivet (with the help of a friend) and they held up pretty good.
