Are there different length air dams?

I have an 87 Formula. I had a 90 Formula. The air dam that was on the 87 was wasted, but it did fit right. So I took the one off the 90 and put it on the 87, it fit right, was in better shape but still broken. So now I have bought a new one piece (like both of mine were) from moderndaymuscle.com and it was too long, the ends ended up sticking out into the wheel well almost skraping the tire, also the holes on the sides didn't line up. I returned it and got a three piece. The center piece fit fine but again, the sides were too long and the holes didn't line up.

So, are the ones that I am getting made for a Trans Am? I think I saw a TA one before and it was longer. But if this is so does anyone know where I can get the shorter one that goes to a Firebird or Formula?
