Keyparts 2" Cowl Hood (JEGS)
I am getting my hood in tomorrow (technically today), and I wanted to do the liberty of posting the results for all of you who have thought about buying one of these. It will probably be a few weeks before the hood is put on because the car is currently relocated, but I'll take pictures of everything for all of you. I'm hoping things turn out good, but we'll see when it gets here.

Re: Keyparts 2" Cowl Hood (JEGS)
Getting this box in here by myself wasn't the easiest task.. then again - I'm not the biggest guy in the world, either.
Just cracked open the box now.
I can see in the light there's a pinhead dent. Not detrimental by any means, but it's definitely there.
Halfway out of the box now.. hopefully, there's not any more dents (or major ones.. this one I can live with.)
Rearview shot of the cowl
Final result.
All in all, I'm satisfied assuming the fitment goes well. So far, so good.

To each their own I guess. In perspective - the other style hoods look too "new" and make the car feel plain. I think this style hood flows with the contours of the car well - much better than many of the hoods out there.

how does the hood fit? does it have underhood bracing so that you cant run a big air filter?

That looks allot like my Goodmark steel hood. Look on the bottom side towards the front. It could say Goodmark. If your going to cut out the holes to open up the cowl be sure to do it before painting it. If it is a Goodmark than I have the same hood.(or they may be made by the same company just labeled under different names.)As far as quality goes you are right on the money.Second to none IMHO.I'm not trying to steal your thread with my photo but thought you would like to see it in a finished state. The nose on mine could probably come down about another 1/2 in. but the new side hood stops and pins on mine are nice and snug the way it is so I'm leaving it alone for now.The hood pins are far from necessary. I have them for my own reasons.

Things really took a crash course as far as funds so I've been held back for awhile. The car has been sitting at another location so I haven't gotten a chance to bolt the hood on. We've been trying to get the car running, and it will be rolling into the paint booth not too long after. I'll be sure to keep this updated though as I think the quality of the hood is excellent and nobody should be afraid to order from JEGS.

I will be using RONUS's paint stripe pattern (ironically, he has the same spoiler as I do and they're exactly the same.. which is incredibly rare since we both have the '88 low rise spoiler). I am thinking I want to paint it black with silver stripes as a tribute to my first Camaro that I hydroplaned and hit a tree totalling it out.
