Door Springs
I am in the final throws of getting my 1984 Z28 road worthy. One of the things I need to do is reinstall the springs on both doors. The shop manual calls out GM part number J-28625. I cannot find one of these tools anywhere. Any thoughts on how to install the springs?

Re: Door Springs
Compress the spring in a vice and use some heavy wire to keep it compressed. Install the spring and snip the wire.

Re: Door Springs
That worked on my old S-10 Blazer but the spring was a lot smaller. I have tried that a couple times and it just won't work, I bought the spring compressor suks recommended.
