Unlevel ground & tail light install
K, so here's a " Body 101 " Q--
I'm installing a tail light assembly.
The garage floor isn't realy level-- Would this cause it to be off enough to cause any problems??
The old assembly came out fine & easy. The replacement won't go in very easy, & the rubber gasket is waaayyy tight against the corner of the spoiler!!
I would post pics, but I keep getting page errors & address errors.
I can MMS to someones email if interested!!

Re: Unlevel ground & tail light install
How level the ground is has nothing to do with the installation fo the lights.THe studs on the lights should just fit in the holes in teh body. If you bought areplacement lens that has the studs on it, then they may be off which is making it hard to install again.

Only 1 stud is a tight fit-- the 1 in the corner thats by itself.
This is driver side. The lens is great, no cracks, no cracks or brakes in any studs.
How can I adjust so all the studs are pretty much centered?
( edit )
This Camaro has always been adult cared for,& the donor was not wrecked.

I'm not too sure. You may be able to bend them a little jus tto get them into the holes. But be careful, you don't want to break it.

Re: Unlevel ground & tail light install
Im done til Tuesday. I may just go back to the other lens, but I'll try some " tweaking " Tuesday.
I have 3 sets-- 2 single black stripe sets which we like, & 1 set without the stripe, which is nice but not our 1st choice, LOL!!
1 of the black stripe lenses has some scratches, so Tuesday I'll see how much of the scratches I can polish // rub out.
Thanks chevydrvr!!

Puma,
I thought of that too. Tuesday is the next time I'll be able to do anything.
I didn't have time tonight when I got home & got to do anything. Windy, chance of rain, battery on the charger.
I haven't even had time to wash // wax // drive the Camaro!! CRAP!!!!
Thanks for the response!!
