Lower bumper scrape protection?

Just wondering if anyone makes or has made something to protect the bottom lip of the front lower bumper cover from scraping. I know its going to scrape at some point, I just don't want to wreck the nice new paint on there now! I was thinking about getting some thin aluminum stock and attaching it with double sided tape to the bottom edge of the bumper. Shouldn't be too visible from the front but will keep the paint off the pavement at least.

Any other ideas?

Re: Lower bumper scrape protection?

just out of curiosity, wouldn't the aluminum being scraped defeat the purpose of having it look nice? and also the double sided tape would wreck the paint too. I'm not understanding how that would keep the bumper looking nice. The only way i can think of to keep the bumper looking nice, is to no scrape it. But I know it is really hard not to, I've done it plenty of times, stupid steep driveways.

Front Lower bumper cover? Do you mean the spoiler...? If so, how low is your car? You shouldn't need any sort of cover if you drive correctly.
I chose to put a 3m Clear Bra on the entire front end of my car just in case anything happens.

Yeah, the spoiler part. The car isn't that low, I've got eibach pro kit springs but my driveway is kind of steep. There's a storm drain at one edge of it so one side is steeper than the other, I've only driven the car in and out of the driveway twice and scraped once at stock height. Just want to do something just in case.

And as far as looking bad.. I was only thinking about putting it on the underside so you'd only see the thin side profile of the aluminum from the front. Paint it black, might not even notice it in the shadow under the car.

id get a bag of concette and fill in the dip just enough to prevent bottoming out but still flow water.
