New paint on the bird.
20+ years in WI has not been kind to my bird's paint. I plan on getting a new paint job this spring, I've mocked up a general idea and have messed around with alternate colors, and such. Excuse the poorly drawn formula. Tell me what you guys think. all input is welcome.

Re: New paint on the bird.
It is not to my taste but I do think that the overall idea has alot of potential.
I see a conflict between the front fender and the doors for the width of the black. Could be just the drawing. I also wonder about the width of the gold stripes.
I would play around a little more. Come up with a couple of variations on that theme and even put some tape on the car to help decide for sure.
In the end it is what you like as it is your car.

I might be able to make a better mockup if you send me the high res version of that pic.

I do art work for money as a hobby, I'm no Picasso but I know photoshop well and can draw.. Never did anything to cars though. I got free time I'll give it a shot.
I need the original pic before you drew over it :P

Re: New paint on the bird.
That does look better. I was thinking that I might bring the front gold stripe even with the front marker light as it is behind it. The marker light then makes part of the stripe that way.

Re: New paint on the bird.
As i said, it is just a mock up, the Yellow line is going to be gold and will be less as contrasted as the picture shows.Hell This is still a bit away from being started, I just have a vision of how the car is going to look, and I'm using this picture to atleast put it on paper so others can see. I'm thinking about moving down the bottom stripe all the way to the lower trim.

I wish I had a better picture to work with, I'm disappointed with my shoop work.

Re: New paint on the bird.
yeah I was thinking of making the back end of the car black, basically where the deck starts to the rear end of the car. kind of like a charger style. and moving the lower gold all the way to the skirt of the car

I'm not a fan.
I think the original paint scheme looks great.
