Looking for people with 83 T/A to help...

I'm trying to do interior & exterior customizing, but can't find any kits for 83..
So if you have an 83 & have done customizing please e-mail me so I can ask you some specific questions..

The priority things I'm looking to do first are:

New Speedo Cluster with White face & 140 Mph. Speedo
Looking for Ground effects
New custom rear wing, little bigger than stock

Well if you think you can help, email me & I'll add some detail..

Thanks

I have an '83 TA. The outside has been customized a lot. First off, the front end and rear bumper cover was changed. I now have the '86-'90 style nose and rear bumper. Now I have the lower gfx, and no longer have those ugly vents in the front. I have GTA wheels and the hatch from an '86. The hatch from the '86 has the third brake light on the top, and it has a wrap around aero spoiler. I am planning on getting a fourth gen. spoiler soon. Look on McEwen (spelling) for the gauges. He said that he has just completed white gauge covers for our cars. FINALLY. I also have a set of doors from a newer car, not sure what year...'86-'90. I didnt do these mods, the previous owner did. I also have a 350 dropped in it. I am going to do the interior myself. I am getting fourth gen seats, and just bought the black plastic interior pieces from a '91 TA. They are in perfect condition. My car doesnt look anything like an '83. If you saw it driving down the block you would swear it was an '86. I love the way that it doesnt look like an '83, since that is my least favorite year. I am a big fan of the '87 TA. This is my first car though, since I am 16. But I think it is a good start, especially since it is an F-body. Well good luck with your car. And let me know what you decide to do. Oh yea, as a start, change your tail light lenses to the grid style, they look soo much better. Trust me, I have the taillights and the center filler from an '88 GTA. Look around in bone yard, all pieces are interchangeable from '82-'92. All I need is the side gfx from an '86-'90 and my exterior is finished.

If you're looking for a custom guage cluster, check out Karps T/A in the readers ride section. He did his own cluster and it looks sweet! He's a moderator on one of these boards too, and if you ask him, I'm sure he'll post some pics of his ride.
It's a pain in the butt to find ground effects for an '82-'84 Trans Am. I have an '84 and feel your pain! Try getting a catalog at www.classicindustries.com where I found a lot of cool stuff. They may have some gfx for you. You can find a "kit" to convert your gfx to an '86 or later year model at www.tacreations.com if you'd like to do that.
If you really want to get a larger wing... I'd take a look at the board sponsor GTA auto accessories. I think I saw some wings at www.usbody.com too.

They are both giving you good advice. Let me see what I can add. As for wings, try www.geocities.com/gtautoacc/dirks.html for a 4th gen fiberglass wing. www.tacreationsusa.com/conversi.htm has the whole ground effects conversion to 86-90 style.
You can bolt in a 4th gen manual shift center console in a 3rd gen automatic car with minimal modification.
4th gen seats bolt in with no modifications. to find them got to www.car-part.com
Some interior and exterior ideas can be found here www.markscustomkits.com/Online_Catalog.html or www.k1-styling.sk/default2.htm
