I am new to painting cars but I'm hoping to paint mine within a few months so I want to make sure I get everything ready and all the info I need before I'm ready to paint. I'm already starting the prep work. A neighbor/friend of mine has painted cars before so he will be helping me.

Where are the best places to buy automotive paint? I'm still undecided with what ill do but ill probably paint it the same style it is now, black with white stripes down the sides.

I got my primer and clearcoat from SPI. The basecoat (Omni brand) I bought at the local Carquest store.

one of the best body guys I've ever seen prefers martin senour(not sure on spelling) paint from napa.

PPG shop line , DuPont nasson , BASF Diamont are all good they are cheaper then their top of the line and if you are painting the car all over color match is not a problem if you look in your yellow pages you will find auto paint supply stores if you have a ORilleys auto parts some of them carry paint ours Carry the DuPont line

we shot my Mustang in PPG it's awesome stuff. PPG is awesome for old crazy Mopar colors too. It's pretty spot on in the color dept.

Really. Find a paint store near you and try them out. There's so much more you'll need besides just the paint, especially the advice.
