Access panel help??
I do realize i will get criticism for this, idc, i want to do this.
With that out of the way, the reason i'm doing this is because my mom just bought a 89 camaro, it had fuel probs and when we went to fix it, we found that there was already a nicely made panel from the PO, and that made the job sooo much easier.
So, now i will be doing this to my car(I promise not to hack it up lol). I need to fix my fuel assembly, and i dont have the space or tools to drop the tank.
Anyone know proper dimensions? i want it 5" wide instead of 4.5"(most people i see that did this did 4.5" i want 5" because it' just a tad more clearence). Im good with cuttin and minor metal work like this, just need a little advice, tips, just anything to make this easier, thanks a lot, i'll keep this updated.

IMO there's no shame in cutting the access hole if it's not a super rare or super low mile car. I think it's really stupid that they didn't make an access panel at the factory, I don't know of any other car that makes you drop the entire exhaust, suspension, and rear-end to change a fuel pump. I plan on doing it on mine when my pump goes.
