Ignition lock???
My ignition lock cylinder is toast. I bypassed the VATS and gutted the lock. So right now the engine will start with no key. My question is, is there a standard lock cylinder that will fit my steering column, or do I have to get a new VATS cylinder?

Ok, I've changed my cylinder in my TA, and in my 79 Z-28 and I don't know think there is much difference between older and newer cylinders. You could go to parts store and get a cylinder for a pre-VATS car and see if it fits. They aren't too expensive, and if it doesn't fit you can just take it back and get your money back.
