yea, just weld a piece in there and clean it up like he said, but my question is why are you going to mount it on the rear, why not just get an invisible antenna, one that runs up your pillar. i think that would look a lot cleaner.

I'd go with the invisible antenna, it'll be so much easier to do than a rear antenna. Good Luck!

I was thinking of putting the antenna in the rear too, but it looks like it would hit the hatch (or come real close). As far as covering up the hole, you can use "hose plugs" (I think that's what they're called). My dad did this on his '67 Camaro when he moved the antenna to the back -- looks pretty good actually.

Classic Industries http://www.classicindustries.com might have a power antenna motor specifically for the third gens, I haven't checked yet.

I frenched my power antenna into the B pillar behind the passenger door. Covering up the hole took a little epoxy and sanding, no problems to date.

Un4givin89: Well, the reception is poor currently because I don't have it grounded properly - BUT I should be able to get rid of that no problemo. I'm out toward Chesapeake (at least I will be by the middle of next week) - they've got a Pontiac Club that meets at Roughton Pontiac (the dealer.) I'm not sure when they meet, email me and I'll send you some more info. Thanks for the kudos!

Trent257: No, it's a power antenna that retracts all the way down inside that groove you see there.

WestCoastGTAMan: Thanks brother!
