likely if you remove your fender you'll see the bottom of the firewall corner has a hole in it. What's the cowl like in the engine bay? Are you getting water leaks in the car when washed/ driven in the rain?
Going by those pics unfortunately I think you'll find quite a bit of rust with the fender removed
Unfortunately, I think it might be time to do a little cutting/grinding/welding. The longer you wait, the worse it's going to be. I would look at the other door jamb. It's likely to be just as bad. Good news is that there are lots of these cars in the junkyard that you can cut replacement parts from.

The cowl is pretty clean and I am not getting any water leaks except from where it's leaking from the to-to.
The passenger side has some rust as well but maybe 20 percent as bad.
That's cut and weld time to properly repair the damage. There's a good chance that the damage extends a good bit further than what you can see. You won't know until you get things out of the way, and start poking and prodding. I'd almost bet that there's serious rot in the pinch weld below the spot you can see. It's probably just hidden behind the gfx, and the fender. Pretty good chance if you pull the kick panel and peel back the carpet and/or the firewall pad you'll find a rust hole all the way to the interior. Been there, done that.
^ I'll back up what the others have said. I've fixed all the rust on three of these cars and I can guarantee you that the rust in that door jamb has crept up through the pinch weld and rocker. Probably will need alot of work and it will only get worse as you dig into it
The good news is, all of its repairable, and since its in an area that's not too visible, the repair won't look bad, if you're not an "expert". It's good to catch it now before it spreads too far. There are lots of threads on here about rust repair, and some very good advice as well.
