Is the drivers seat suppose to recline back or not? It's a power seat and it does not recline back, is something wrong with it?

How whould I fix it?

I got this set for $150 at the local junk yard.

I changing my whole interior from Red to black. Only thing I got left to do is my door panels...they are still red. DAMN!!!

Do you guys think gray door panels would look good in an all black interior with these seats?

wish i could run across a deal like that. Im also changing mine from red to black, local bone yard wants 350 bucks for a complete set of seats, that are wragged out and torn. Maybe a two tone charcoal door panel would look good with em.

I got a set of grey door panels if ya want, there is little wear on the carpet on the driver's side and a black spot on the vinyl on the door edge $20 plus ship, just a thought...

quess what I am doing, Going all black myself, got to do carpet and seats, and repaint the panels, did't do tem right, first time around (when I painted them, I was unarae of this site, so I just primed and painted, owwwweeee

what about my first question? Is the drivers seat suppose to recline back? If so then how can I fix mine?

im pretty sure that its suppose to recline back, why would the non power do it and the power not. As far as your problem goes....dunno, prolly the motor or linkage for the recline position is busted.

I fixed em.. I jumped the gun. Alls I did was WD 40 em and they worked fine.

I am going to finish my interior tomorrow. Hers a picture of what it looks like now...UGGG!!!

I've got '95 Camaro leather seats in mine, driver's is power and it reclines just like the passenger side does. Must be your lever is broken or something. I think the plastic cover comes off so you could take a look at it.

NO! I did the same thing to mine. I changed grey to black but actually kept some grey (rug, speaker sails, center console, etc) to match the two-tone seats. I still have the grey door panels and it looks kinda silly. I'm working on getting black panels as we speak. I'm about 85% done with the interior. My advice ... go for the black panels. It will look alot better.

Got my set from a paint and body shop. $100 for the set. Put them into my 84 Firebird with charcoal interior. Looks pretty sweet.

Hell yeah!,,,,that does look sweet! If I would have found me a set of them I would not have changed my interior.

But Oh well cant turn back now...

After its all said and done with selling my red stuff and buying my black....it cost me about $100 ......So I say that aint to bad to go from red to black....If I play my cards right I will probably come out ahead on the swap...We'll see in about a week or so...
