finally finished the 1LE brakes
got off my *** today and bought the pads, clips and retaining pins. im using peformance friction Z rated pads, got them at autozone for 60 or 70 bux. got some custom line bending to do and wire up hte line lock. the 15x4 pro stars clear these brakes im happy about that. dont mind the rusty rotor.

Thanks for the compliment. I believe they were $950 shipped from www.yearone.com with a coupon.

if you think yours are on wrong you might not have them on wrong , some brands are putting the slots the opposite way , you have to check to see if the cooling veins are going the right way . I know on my z06 brakes they are left side right side , so you have to check that .

Yes. From what I remember when I researched them, they are virtually the same with the exception of the SSBC rotor being made of a better material and slightly improved caliper design.

I'd suspect the design can't be exactly the same for copyright purposes, but it must be close.
The reason I ask ... I am restoring my 1988 Player's Car. It came from the factory with 1LE brakes (little known fact). Back in 1988, 1LE brakes were uncommon and parts were only through the GM Motorsports parts trucks. So when 1989 rolled around, many of the 1988 cars were scavenged for brake parts, including mine.
Curious whether these would be accepted as Ok for a restoration? Probably 1 up on a car with out the real brakes, and one below one with the real ones.
Mark.
