Wilwood proportioning valve+4th gen rear

The tech article on here is very very long, and somewhat confusing to me. I have the 4th gen rear, I have the prop. valve. Is it really that hard to install? About how long should it take?

Also, will the brake lines from my drum 87 rear bolt onto my 2001 rear? I already bought the e-brake cables. Any other issues as to getting the brakes working?

i did it exactly how the tech article said to do it. the only really hard part is making sure you have good flares. two of mine leaked on my first try so i had to cut them off and re-do them. it might take a little time, and may be frusterating because theres not much space in there, but i really wouldnt call it a "hard" installation

yea my problem was that the tech article had like 18 steps or something. the wilwood instructions just say to tap it into the rear brake line under the master cylinder and adjust.

well it depends if you want to keep the stock combination valve in addition to the adj prop valve or not. some people like to keep the stock one so the rears get a little pressure first and to keep the brake light in the dash functional. either way, you just cut the lines, put flare nuts on, flare them, and attach the valve.

I'd never flared before and got all of them to work the first time around. The secret's in the prep work. Here's me post on the topic:
