Earls 1LE hose problem

Car: 86 LG4 & 92 TBI Firebird
Engine: The Mighty 305!
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
Earls 1LE hose problem
I just tried to install the Earls 1LE ss brake hoses and ran into a problem. While the steering wheel is being turned, at about half way the hose will rub against the steering stop, then pop up and over and be fine at full lock. This is with 1LE brakes. Anyone else have this problem? I confirmed the part I ordered is for 1LE brakes and the the correct sides were on (unless the left/right labels were wrong on the hoses).

I didn't think there would be any problems as long as the line was secure in the strut bracket?

I just had a thought...How are you installing the hose at the caliper? If you don't have it so that the hose coming out of the banjo block isn't facing forward, this may give you problems. I had mine installed wrong at first. In the pic atahed, I had my hose coming off perpendicular to the car. It needs to cmoe out of the banjo block pointing to the front of the car.

Nope, I had it routed the way the factory hose goes. Maybe stops for 15" wheels are different then 16"s. Also, where the middle of the hose connects to the strut there seems to be alot of movement of the hose. It seems to slide up and down in the fitting. Is that how its supposed to be?

Yes, the hose is supposed to slide around a bit, it's not a tight connection.
