Whats the deal with these wheel cylinder clips !!??!
Hey guys... Over the course of this winter, I put a new 350 engine, th-350 transmission, and swapped the rear end out from a 2.73 open diff to a 3.23 posi... But the hardest part about this has been putting these wheel cylinder clips on!!! It's really got me down. I've spent two nights out in the garage trying to get them tight. I finally got the drivers one snug, but the passenger side will wiggle about 3/16 of an inch in any direction.
I got frustrated, and bought another wheel cylinder, tried to get my old new odd, and wound up bending the backing plate
Whats the deal with these things, does someone know a trick, or does everyone hate these things...
I'm really thinking of trying to find a wheel cylinder of simialr width, and drilling out the axle and backing plate for the two bolt arrangment that I've usally seen on wheel cylinders... Maybe from a G body???

you are talking about the wheel cylinders for a rear drum set up?
I've done it a couple of times and used a 12 point socket (forget the size) to press it on. You could maybe rig something up with a big *** c-clamp.
