Car: 1986 Pontiac TA
Engine: 383
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.70
MC and Prop Valve Replacment
I did a search but could not find the answer. When replacing both the master cylinder and prop valve, do you siphon the brake fluid from the master cylinder before removing? I just don't want brake fluid spilling on my engine compartment.

I would like to know this also. I figure from common sense that your right ...it makes sense to siphon it out.

If you leave the cap on and remove the MC it will help. use a shop towel on the connections will minimize the amount of fluid you lose. If some does get someplace you don't want it don't waste any time cleaning it.
