Hawks 1LE brake kit.
Sup guys,
Quick question in regard to the 1LE brake kit offered from Hawks..
Im considering purchasing the kit to replace my noisy, clunky, and
irritating '88 J65's... I just cant stand rolling down a bumpy road
sounding like my car is falling apart.
Anyway, has anyone had any experience with the kit? It looks like
it comes with everything I need for the conversion, but Id like some
insight. Id like to refrain from going with a aftermarket kit like Wilwood..
1LE seems like a pretty good choice for what I do with the car.
Thanks in advance.

Anyway you might consider it as an option.

In my experience, 1LE replacement parts are hard to find and if you find them they are special order.
I was also considering 1LE brakes upgrade but LS1 brakes upgrade is about the same price and the replacement parts are more readily available. Because of this I'm going with LS1.
Check out BigBrakeUpgrade.com or FlynBye.com

I cannot believe how awful these '88 J65's are.. Everything from the front calipers/pads jiggling to the rear E-brake.. My '89 doesnt make half the noise my '88 does.. Then again, my built '89 has drums in the rear.. but my fronts are absolutely silent.
Very frustrating to say the least, and I know I am not alone with this problem.
