Its just a clip, but its rusted to the bracket. You have to get a chisel and try to break it apart.

That was the clip from hell. I finally got it off and I'm not sure exactly how. I had everything on the rear line loose except for that &^$#% clip and it was holding up the whole job. I think I blacked out a little in a psychotic rage but when I came to it was halfway off. It was a piece of cake after that.
Like I said, the fronts came off easily. The Russel steel braided lines went right on and the entire job front to back was simple, after that b%*&^ of a clip came off.
