Infinity Refrence Sub Question

INFINITY REFRENCE SUBS say that they need 1.25 cu ft. Is this a necessity, or can i build my box to contain 1.0 cu ft of space. would that make the subs sound like butt? also, am I going to be able to devise a setup with 2 12"s that will let me also have room for t-tops?

thanks,

TOM

it shoudnt change the sound that much. you might have to feed the subs a little more juice in order to get the amount of output you want tho
