Pioneer 750MP

I picked up a pioneer 750mp yesterday, thought I would share with those who are curious about it.

The sund is incredible! I had a nice JVC with three preouts, I figured a deck was a deck when it came to cd's etc. I mean all they do is reproduce the cd right...wrong lol..

Anyhow I can hear things and frequency's I couldn't hear before.. even tho I have the same speaker setup.

The oel display is awesome, i looks great, impresses friends, and you can upload your own videos/images

The interface is surprisingly easy to navigate, and the eq is easy to work.

The thing I was worried about was finding/playing mp3's I can fit like 200 on one disk. Well im not worried anymore.. I had all my mp3's in folders on my computer sorted by artist, so all I did was drag em over.

The up down on the remote goes up and down the list of folders, and the left to right goes through the songs in that folder..Load time is quicker than my laptop when I read mp3's from cd.

Anyhow, it sounds great, it's easy to use, and looks awesome.

The remote.
It has all the functions the deck does, it's easy to figure out, and easy to hold, it's not too big to drive and use, and it's not so small yuou accidentally hit buttons..

Compared
I was going to go for the Alpine but I liked being able to upload my own pics. andcustomize my display. It was a chocie between Ipersonalize (setting eq up on my computer) or the custom display. I saw no use for setting an eq inside the house lol, but I did find a use for the display.

The face comes off easy, the wiring is simple, and it has three outputs.. the sub out put was great, you can change the sub volume at the same time you can control the frequency. up down does volume, and left to right changes freq. You can also set up a high pass filter for the front and rear outs, from 50 to 80 to 125. I run a hot amp on my front speakers so I have to have that, or use the xover on my amp.

I also tryed the head units internal ampo, and that sounds damned good too..

All in all I payed about $300 for it, I thought it was an ok deck, but I was surprised by the sound quality, ease of use, and ease of installation. (i was scared to learn mp3 menu)

By the way, it list folder and track title, alblum, and artist, all of it will scroll on by while you listen... it also has some neat sound level indicators that move with the beat.

Sorry so wordy, I just fell in love with it, best deck i have had so far. any questions lemme know!

Glad to hear you like it! One of these days I have to try to burn an MP3 disc... but I get home from work, and the last thing I want to look at is a computer

cool

sweet action, i was also looking into alpine, dont get me wrong alpine rules, but i found a pioneer that has more stuff i can adjust , i like adjusting stuff its fun hehehehe but i changed my mind from a mp3 alpine to a non mp3 pioneer that is 179$ its got every ed and high pass and low pass and all that jive alpine had limited features, but did have high voltage pre outs, but im ok with that, 2 volts should be enough for the 4 channel amp im wanting...

glad to hear good things about real world perfomance of pioneers, this board seems to rant and rave up and down about alpine, i would say for good reason, i personally like all their stuff, (excluding subs, i have heard so many that are better)

any hoo i cant wait to get my new deck

glad yours is great

Well I had a pioneer cd player, when they first came out, no detachable face.. it rocked, I went 4x4'n and it never skipped. Where as the jensens JVCs and others did.

The I upgraded to the detachable face, and it came with a remote, that rocked, and once on the remote I could never go back. Don't know how i adjusted stuff without crashing before.

This time, I decided I wasn't gonna go with pioneer, I was gonna get the best, Alpine. Well I weighed the difference between I-personalize (adjusting crossover on the internet CMON!) and being able to upload personal pics, and indicators.. I also like the pioneer 750mp remote better. I'm not diching the Alpine their top notch, but this Pioneer sounds great.

Well, when I hooked this thing up i was just amazed as I aid before.. I found symbols, drums, and keyboard tones I had never heard before in some of my songs. The sound quality is 100%perfect..I'm not saying this just because I went with pioneer. I honestly think you would be hard pressed to find a sound quality differnce between the Alpine and pioneer deck.. its just hard to get better thnan what it is.

I would tho definetaly go with the MP3 version you can get em' on Ebay from people with lots of good feedback for just around 200 maybe a tad more, maybe less. I mean I fit 200 songs on a cd now, arranged nice and easy to listen too.. When your only talking $50 more it would be a wiese idea to wait save the $50 and get the MP3 version.

Heck if you dont have a burner I'd almost mail you a few cd's with 1000's of mp3s heheh
