Question to everyone not just boomin boy

Ok im sorry i caused such a problem before it was my intent at all. Someone told me when i asked a previous question they said "Put boomin boys name in your subject he shoudl beabel to answer it" so i did I didnt realize it would cause a problem so im sorry for doing that. And also i know i dont know anything about this type of things, thank you for reminding me

Ok so the real problem here. Ok im sure most of you read the other post and know whats going on im retarded and cant get this thing together. I have a bazooka EL1500 its 500W 1-channel. Im guessing that means only 1 spot to hook up speakers. And i have 2 12" EL 1204 they are 4 ohm. I have them hooked up +from amp to + 1st speaker then from +of 1st speaker to - of 2nd speaker and opposit for the other speaker. Is this wrong, from what i read i believe it is. And also there is no wire hanging off my head unit to put my REM cord into so i was wondering if anyone could let me know how to fix that up. Thankyou
Mitchell

I don't think it was you that caused a problem, but kids posting unless info and trying to cause problems.

It sounds like you have them hooked in series right now. If your amp is 2 ohm stable, you should hook up the positive of both subs to the positive on the amp, then hook the negatives of both subs to the negative of the amp to make a parallel circuit.

HTH!!

The manual or box the amp came in will say.

that amp is 2 ohm stable so to run a 2 ohm load with (2) 4 ohm subs you will want to wire them in parallel. In other words, connect the positives from both speakers to the positive on the amp, an then both speaker negatives to the negative on the amp.

You amp does not care how many speakers there are, only the combined ohm load.

Do you have a power antenna wire?? Some times you can use that as the remote wire.

Look on the back of your head unit at the wires coming out. Their should be a wire thats label says power ant etc. OR if you have a multimeter you can turn the headunit on and check the wires. It shouldnt be too hard to find. I have an old poineer head unit laying around and on this the remote turn on wire(power ant wire same thing) is blue with a white stripe.

I have 2 wires that are blue with a white stripe. One is dark blue and the other is light blue, both with a white stripe. Just wondering which one to use thanks Mitchell.

More than likely it's the dark blue, but there's nothing wrong with trying them both.

I can promise that it's either one of those.

Thanks for looking that up boomin. Now with that type of amp and 2 4ohm speakers what kind of wire setup should i do the parallel one you guys were talking about. + from amp to + in both speakers and - from amp to - in both speakers
when im hooking up the wires are there going to be 4 wires coming from the amp sending 2 wires to each speaker?

thanks AJ ill just try both one of them has got to work.
thanks
Mitch
