Just got some new subs!

i got them off of ebay last night. 2 mtx thunder 6000. my cuz had them in his jeep and they cracked his winshield! and they were only hooked up to a 200 watt amp. do u think i got a good deal? are these a good pair of subs?

if you think those subs are what caused the windshield to crack, do a search. They look like good subs for the money, but you sure aren't going to be cracking anything with them unless you drop them through a t-top by accident. With that low sensitivity, a pair of those won't even go as loud as a single 10w0 with the same amount of input power.

cracking a windshield will take a good 165db system. It may have extended a crack from the vibration but it didnt cause a crack.

anywho, those subs are pretty common, some people have good results with them. good luck

idk, it might of been the subs or it might not of been. all i kno is we were goin down the road wit the system up and all of a sudded....crack! i just want to know if they are good subs for the money? but my cuzins did bump pretty hard

i would say they're decent for the money but there are better deals out there.

Trust me, it wasn't the subs. Especially in a jeep. Those are about as airtight as a can of cheese whiz in the hands of a fat kid. Not only do you need EXTREME SPL levels like Boomin Boy mentioned, but you need an interior that is capable of containing that amount of SPL. In any normal car, your door seals will leak first, or in extreme cases, the window seals will leak, but the glass ain't breakin.

And especially with 200 watts. I'd be shocked if that setup reached over 130dB.
