Antenna wire problems
Installing my new stereo today, the antenna doesn't fit, it's too small, anyone know where I can get an adapter? In finland that is, or atleast somewhere in europe?
If not can I take away the plug and put a bigger one there that will fit? Because I have an old non-working antenna with a fitting end, would it be possible to make a switch without too much trouble?

Besides, what should I look for in a salvage yard? An adapter?

This is a common thing from 89 gms and up.. You need an adapter, go to www.crutchfield.com

I really have problems, incredible problems, in finding a european place that has things like these, hence I wonder if I can switch the ends, seeing that I got a broken antenna from another car with a working version of this.

That is also very easy to do... Just get the end out of another car.... Leave youself some wire length.... You can strip back the outer rubber, there will be a bunch of ground wire around a clear tube, pulll the ground wire back and strip down the clear tube, there will be a single wire in the middle of the clear tube, VER IMPORTANT, twist the single wire from the new antenna to the cars antenna.... not the wires surrounding the clear tube.. If you touch the outer wires and the inner wires, you will not get good reception...

I sell car audio. I have an adapter that converts Mini GM (female end)to Motorola male. I am not sure what shipping would cost, but I will sell it for 3 bucks.

This is not a very good pic, but you can get an idea if this is what you need.
