speakers?

ok i already have 2 12's with alot bass and i just want speakers so i can hear my words over my bass so ive heard alot of good things about boston acoustics, infintey and jbl power series. the thing is i listen to all rap and ive heard that infinity kappa are allitle harsh on the ears which is about the worst thing to me and i really wanna to put have the factory fitments with the 6*9 but most just give off to much bass and i want bascially no bass from my speakers or very little so i was thinking the infinity reference 3-way 6*9 or 7" kappa if i can fit then has any one put 7" speakers in the rears without cutting sheetmetal i would put spacers in but i heard most rattle and i can't find none folr my speakers i can also make my own but i have no clue how? now for the fronts again i want to put the factory location 4*6's in but i heard there basically a waste of time i really want to put like some 7" or 6 1/2" in the kicks or in the doors now i have a general idea of how to custom make them with wood but i dont think it would work also i dont know how to work with fiberglass. and i dont want to buy kicks becuase after a lot of money already i only really have enough for 2 sets of good speakers a amp for them and allitle more for installsion and that's it especially not enough for buying kick panel enclosures so thanks im kind of a newbie and really big car audio fanatic oo yea also no componet sets way outa my price range

Car: on the hunt for a 3rd gen again
what year is your car?the reason i ask is its hard to fit 4x6's in the dash's of the 90-92 camaro's. The best advice i can give you is to save up and buy/make some kicks. I finally gave in and decided to just buy some off cardomain for 130 + 10 shipping. with the power acoustik components for around 50 shipped, then a profile refurb amp for around $40 shipped. in the long run kicks give you way better sound, and you won't need rear 6x9's.

if you're dead set with 4x6s and 6x9's let me know and i'll look some up for ya.......

so your saying with my sub setup i should just get kicks with some good componets in there over buying some 6 by 9s and 4 by 6 speakers im not dead set on anything i just want some clean speakers so when i turn up the bass and trust me i got alot of bass so when i turn it up i still be able to hear the words the only reason i never got componets is becuase one thing there real expensive and the other thing i would have to buy kicks for them which is expensive also and i dont want to make my own but if your saying i dont even have to have 6 by 9 speakers if i buy the kicks then i might just do this instead. and does anyone know if the boston acoustic fx92 6 by 9 and boston acoustic 746 4 by 6 speakers are good going along with a sub system or should i just get kicks becuase i cant afford kicks and 6 by 9 and the 2 sets of boston speakers i know are going be cheaper then the kicks becuase i can get the 2 sets of bostons for like 170 and the kick panels alone are what like 135 and yes i know i am going to have trouble installing the 4 by 6s if i do becuase i have a 89 trans am what all do you have to do to make them fit thanks alot

Car: 92 caddy PIMP

well the thing is people usually use subs for the bass for the rear. If you carry alot of passengers in the backseats.(like theres room in a camaro?) then 6-9s couldnt hurt. But kick panels with a good component set with a MIDRANGE and TWEETER would prolly be best.

I high suggest you buy subs If you ever want a more full music sound. Just because you have subs doesnt mean you gotta slam on them.

Another thing to consider is your head unit. Sub/front/rear outputs????

Um, maybe I'm dyslexic, but it looks like unbonyr already has two 12" subs.

To answer his original question, I think he should get the kickpanels with good components ($200+...no less on the actual speaker set)

then get some good 6x9s for the rear, if you're into that rear-fill 'thing'.. a lot of people like it, and a lot of people hate it... just remember, cars have rear speakers for a reason.

I love rear fill almost as much as I love the ladies.

yes i do already have 2 12's and the bass is prettttty loud just how i like it but i havent decided what i want to do for my speakers and i have a panasonic headunit 3 pre-outs, 5volt, and a very low distorstion now i know you cant buy a cd-player, based on the specs becuase most brands lie but so far im haveing a very good expericence with my panasonic except the manuel is a b**** but ooo well see i want speakers and im going to put a amp to them but i have little money but i have a freind that works at a audio shop and he can get me the boston acoustic fx92 6 by 9 and boston acoustic 746 4 by 6 for like 170 bucks and ive heard good things about them and im goin put them on a 400/4 power acoustic amp soo 100rms watts per channel all im worried about is the clarity and hearing the vocals over the mind numbing bass. So i prob. this setup and save up for some components but i defintaly dont have that type of cash right now for 200+ componets plus 130 kicks plus rear-fill speakers if i get them. And yes i do ride around with passengers alot so give me feed back on what you think about these bostons and i listen to all rap and hate harsh highs so thats why ive told to kind of stay aways from the kappas, mb quarts speakers like that but i havent heard much feedback on these specific boston acoustic speakers
