some amp advice
ok i have two subwoofers 1100 peak watt (xplodes) i was wondering what a good size amp or amps i should go with. and ive been seeing alot of cheap amps on ebay like 2400 watt companies like pyle, pyramid, legacy, power acoustic, lanzar... they are all around 135$ on ebay and shipping about 30 so about 165.... i was wondering since they are so cheap do you get what you pay for? if any one has any ebay horror stories do tell. thanks

yes you get what you pay for. if you ABSOLUTELY have to buy a cheap amp, look on ebay for a lanzar opti drive amp. that 1100 watt rating on those sonys is max power, i have an amp that puts out 1400x1 rms that would smoke those speakers turned up halfway. the rms is probably something like 300. the 1000 watt opti drive would be a good choice, or if you're looking for a nice amp, search car audio forums. look for a phoenix gold tantrum 1200.1. should be able to score one for 250ish. i paid 300 for my elemental designs nine.1 but i got in on a special deal, they're 350 now.
