need help with MB Quart crossover

So Im looking at this crossover and not sure how to hook it up. I thought the point of a crossover was to split the high and low frequencies and send them to the tweeter and woofer. Maybe not? Anyway this has a separate +- input for both the tweeter and woofer. I have two crossovers for two sets of tweeters and woofers. I have a four channel amp, but im worried about hooking up that power to just a little tweeter, seems excessive. What am I missing? Oh I bought these off ebay and no instructions.

Are these the competition type crossovers with the plexiglass covers? I could snap a pic of mine when I get home today and show which leads go to tweeter and woofer (midrange?).

The separate inputs for the woofer and tweeter are for bi-amping. The only real reason to do this is so that you will have more control over the output of the tweeter vs the output of the woofer. In most cases it's completely unnecessary. The crossovers should have come with jumper type things - if they didn't you can make your own. Install them between the w+/t+ and w-/t- inputs if you don't intend on bi-amping.

The manual only covers bi-amping.

I can also post a picture of mine if need be.
