Problem With Wiring..Help Needed!

Well all my audio goodies arrived a few days ago and I have since set it all up. Now the only problem I'm having is a buzzing coming from the front speakers, but not the subs, when the car is running. If the key is in accessory, there is no buzzing whatsoever. I have the front speakers (4x6's & 6x9's) on a 300w Pyramid Amp.

Any info on what is causing this and how to correct it?

You are most likely experiencing ground interference from other electronics and such when the engine is running. Some simple things to try are to get one of the ground noise interference isolators, they should be pretty cheap. You might also try regrounding the amp somewhere else although I dont know if that will really help.

Since I am not sure how you ran wires and stuff, here is some more hw. Read these articles, determine if you violated any car stereo installation rules, and then let us know.

Re: Problem With Wiring..Help Needed!

Well I rewired the ground from the battery (Where we had it) to a bolt on the firewall, and no noise!

Thanks for the help!
