Can they be bridged?
How can i tell wether or not i can bridge my two 12 inch audio pipes without blowing them. i tried to look for the exact specs for the speakers but they are older and i was unable to come up with anything. the amp is a 1000 watt crunch that looks like this.http://i13.tinypic.com/4g4beit.jpg the subs look like these http://www.deffaudio.com/store/images/txxap10rd-s.jpg except they are black. and the final question if they can be bridged will i notice a difference.

It depends on what your amp is stable at. It can be 2 ohm stable or 4 ohm stable. Then it depends on your speakers. Are they dual voice coil or single voice coil and what are the ohms of the speakers. Knowing this stuff will tell you how you can hook up your speakers to your amp.

Re: Can they be bridged?
Looks like your speakers are a single voice coil 4 ohm speaker. So if you bridge them, you will get 2 ohms. Is your amp a 2 channel, 4 channel, or mono block(1 channel)? If its a 2 channel, you need to know if its 2 ohm stable in bridge mode. Most 2 channel amps are usally only 4 ohm stable in bridge mode. Lets say your amp is 2 channel, and 4 ohm stable in bridge mode, you wont be able to bridge your amp with the speakers you have. You will have to hook up your speakers to your amp 1 speaker per channel(stereo). If you bridged a 4 ohm stable amp at 2 ohms, you can start to have problems like overheating and shut down.
