Help with wiring. Any ideas?
I have a 1990 Camaro Rs and i was thinking of buying 6 x 9 Pioneer speakers to replace the blown out ones in the back. I was wondering also if i should replace the wiring too or if age doesnt matter with speaker wire. I want to get the best sound quality i can but if it doesnt really matter im not gonna waste my time. Thanks!
I also have an aftermarket head unit it. If that would change anything.

The factory wiring should be fine. I havent had any issues with older speaker wires when I have changed speakers. Just my opinion.

You might run into the stock connectors at the end of the speaker wire, which won't mate to the new speakers. In the past, I've just cut off the old connector and spliced the end section of the new speaker wire (which has the new spade connectors) in its place. Crimp splice or solder works fine.
