Power seat wires, useable?
Hey Folks,
My car used to have a power adjustable driver's seat. The power worked but the seat frame was falling apart so I replaced both fronts seat with manual Procar Scat seats. I'd like to add a small powered sub and was wondering if I could use the leads for the seat to power it?
Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend it. Even small amps recommend at least 8g wire for power and ground, and the wires for the seat aren't that beefy. They're fine for quick adjustments of a seat, but wouldn't stand up to the continuous use. You're better wiring everything yourself from the batter back, to be sure it's up to the task.

They are 10 Ga. wires attached to a 30 amp circuit breaker.

How big of an amp? I know the Infinity Primus 6002a works with a 10g wire, pushes 140 Watts.
